Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actor from the United States. Since the mid 80s, Angela Evelyn has worked in television and film. The actress has won numerous awards including 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett originates from New York New York. She was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett and her sister, at the age of five old, made the move out of New York and into St. Petersburg to live with their mother, who was the divorced father. Bassett saw James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still at high school and decided that she was an actor and would like to be doing. Yale University New Haven Connecticut gave her a bachelor's degree (1980), in African American study, and a graduate degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. She met Courtney B. Vance, an actress who was also at Yale and they married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. In African-American Studies, 1980. Master of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (7th grade), Azalea Middle School (8th and 9th grades), Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett has been cast in one the leading roles of Ramonda for the action movie, i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
